Kidney Foundation Kerala was inaugurated by His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrisostem Marthoma Metropolitan in the presence of Rt. Rev. Dr. GeeVarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa on 1st March 2006 for supporting patients with chronic renal failure who require dialysis

WHY IS THE KIDNEY FOUNDATION SO IMPORTANT ?

After malignancy and heart disease, kidney diseases are the third killer of mankind.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE ?

Most people do not have any severe symptoms until their kidney disease gets worse. However, you may:

Feel more tired
Have less energy
Have trouble thinking clearly
Have a poor appetite
Have trouble sleeping
Have dry, itchy skin
Have muscle cramping at night
Have swollen feet and ankles
Have puffiness around your eyes, especially in the morning
Have to urinate more often, especially at night.
